Fake Incoming Call Notification Video Maker

This template animates the compact incoming-call banner that drops in from the top of an iPhone screen while something else is on display. You type the caller's name, set the small label above it, such as iPhone, mobile, or home, and optionally upload a photo for the avatar. The banner slides in, rings for as long as you choose, and then plays out the ending you picked.

It is made for short inserts rather than full call scenes. Pick whether the call is accepted, declined, or left unanswered until the banner dismisses itself, and the matching green or red button presses on screen. The background can be a chroma-key color, an uploaded image, or fully transparent with a Creator plan MOV or WebM export, so the banner can sit on top of your own footage in a video editor.

You can build the clip by hand in the manual editor, which needs no account, or switch to Describe it, type something like "a call from Unknown that gets declined", and let the AI fill in the caller, timing, and outcome for you. Describe it requires signing in with Google or GitHub.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set the caller

Enter the caller name and the label shown above it. Upload an avatar image if you want a face on the banner; without one, a gray silhouette is drawn in its place.

  2. 2

    Choose timing and outcome

Set how many seconds pass before the banner appears and how long it rings. Then pick Accept Call, Decline Call, or Unanswered, where the banner slides away on its own after ringing.

  3. 3

    Pick the background

Keep the default theme color, choose a chroma-key color to remove later, upload an image such as a screenshot, or select Transparent for MOV and WebM exports on the Creator plan.

  4. 4

    Preview and export

Press Play to watch the clip, adjust the frame with or without the iPhone bezel, choose a resolution and frame rate, and download the video file.

Features

Three call outcomes

Accept, decline, or unanswered. On accept or decline the matching button visibly presses before the banner leaves; unanswered lets it slide away by itself.

Custom caller details

A caller name that can include emoji, a free-text label above it, and an optional uploaded avatar shown in a circle on the left of the banner.

Adjustable timing

Separate controls for the delay before the banner appears and the number of seconds it rings, so the clip fits the pace of your edit.

Backgrounds for compositing

Theme color, chroma key with a color picker, an uploaded image, or transparent. On the Creator plan, transparent output keeps the alpha channel in MOV (ProRes 4444) and WebM (VP9) exports.

Ringtone sound

A looping ring sound plays while the banner rings, and you can switch sound effects off in the Appearance section before exporting.

Light or dark screen

Toggle a light theme for the screen behind the banner. The banner itself keeps its dark, translucent style in both themes.

Frame and quality settings

Show the iPhone bezel with an optional 1:1 square crop, or go frameless with a chosen aspect ratio, then export at 720p or Full HD from 15 to 30 fps, or 60 fps on the Creator plan.

What people make with it

  • Story beats in skits

Cut to an incoming call at the moment a character is avoiding someone, then have the decline button press exactly on the beat you set in the timing controls.

  • Overlays on real footage

Export with a green chroma key on any plan, or as a transparent MOV or WebM on Creator, and place the banner over screen recordings or camera footage in your video editor.

  • App and product walkthroughs

Show what a user sees when a call interrupts another app, for tutorials, onboarding videos, or presentation slides about notifications and interruptions.

  • Reaction video setups

Create the "look who is calling" moment for a reaction or storytime video, using a fictional name and avatar, with the outcome decided in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a fake incoming call notification video?

Open the template, type the caller name and label, and upload an avatar if you want one. Set the delay and ring duration, pick accept, decline, or unanswered, choose a background, then press Play to preview and export the video when it looks right.

Can I put the call banner over my own video?

Yes. Set the background to a chroma-key color, on any plan, and remove it in your video editor, or on the Creator plan choose Transparent and export as MOV or WebM, which keep the alpha channel. In transparent mode only the banner is drawn, without the status bar or home indicator.

Can the call be declined or missed instead of answered?

Yes. The Outcome menu has Accept Call, Decline Call, and Unanswered. Accept and decline show the green or red button being pressed before the banner leaves. Unanswered lets the banner ring for the time you set and then slide away on its own.

What video formats can I export?

The export menu offers MP4 video and GIF animation from 720p to Full HD at 15, 24, or 30 frames per second. The Creator plan adds MOV (ProRes 4444) and WebM (VP9), which keep a transparent background where MP4 and GIF use the theme color, and 60 fps.

Is the incoming call notification maker free?

You can start for free and build a clip in the manual editor without creating an account. What each plan includes changes over time, so check the pricing page for the current details before you plan a larger project around the tool.
