Show a ChatGPT exchange as a video without screen-recording anything. You script the prompt and the reply; the template types your prompt into the input bar, shows a thinking indicator, and streams the answer onto the screen, formatting headings, bold text, lists, and code as it goes. When the reply finishes, the row of action icons appears beneath it.
That makes it a good fit for tutorials, product walkthroughs, and comedy where the answer is the punchline. You control the pacing of every message, can show steps like Searching the web before a reply, and export from the browser. Describe it mode can also draft the whole exchange for you.
Add a user message and an assistant reply, or let Describe it mode write the exchange from an idea like "a student asks for help with an essay due in 10 minutes". Describe it needs a Google or GitHub sign-in.
Add an action or an image to a reply, choose the typing and streaming speeds, toggle the welcome screen and quick actions, and pick light or dark. Press play to review.
Export MP4 or GIF at 720p or Full HD and 15 to 30 frames per second; the Creator plan adds a transparent MOV or WebM and 60 fps. Encoding runs in your browser.
Replies stream in at your chosen speed, and markdown renders as it arrives: headings, bold and italic text, lists, inline code, and code blocks.
Show a spinner with Searching the web, Reasoning, Analyzing image, Creating image, Reading file, Browsing, or your own label for as many seconds as you set.
Upload an image to a reply. It pulses under a heavy blur while generating, then clears, placed before or after the text.
Swap a reply for a red error box with a warning icon and your own error text, for a joke ending or a failure state.
Open on a welcome screen with your greeting and quick actions, or on Temporary Chat. The header shows a title such as ChatGPT with a small arrow, which you can rename or leave blank, or a Get Plus, Memory full, or custom banner in its place.
Walk viewers through a prompt and its answer at a readable pace, for short-form videos, course lessons, or a looping GIF in a blog post.
Script an assistant-style exchange about your product or feature instead of screen-recording a live session whose output changes between takes.
Set up an absurd prompt and land the punchline in the reply, or end on an error. Present it as a scripted skit, not a real AI response.
Open the ChatGPT template, write a prompt and a reply (or let Describe it draft them), choose typing and streaming speeds, and add an action or image if needed. Preview it, then export as MP4 or GIF, or as a transparent MOV or WebM on the Creator plan.
Yes. Give an assistant message an action, pick the type, and set how many seconds it shows. A spinner with that label appears before the reply streams in. You can also write a custom label.
Yes, on the Creator plan. MOV (ProRes 4444) and WebM (VP9) keep an alpha channel, so everything outside the phone frame is transparent. You can lay the phone over a talking-head shot or a slide; the chat screen itself stays solid.
You can start building ChatGPT videos for free, right in the browser, and the manual editor does not need an account. For what each plan includes, check the pricing page.
It follows the ChatGPT mobile layout: the welcome prompt, the input bar, your messages in bubbles, replies with action icons beneath them, and light and dark themes. MockClip is an independent tool, not affiliated with OpenAI.
