MockClip's Reddit thread video maker builds a post and its comment section, then reveals the comments one at a time, the way a storytime video does. You write the post title, subreddit, author, votes and optional body text or image. Then you add comments and nested replies, each with its own username, timestamp, vote count and delay.
Small details carry the story. Comments can show an OP badge or user flair, vote arrows can flip mid-clip, and a comment can collapse into a "more replies" link. The thread scrolls as new comments arrive. Pick a light or dark theme, then export a video or GIF from your browser.
Under Post Settings, enter the subreddit, author, title and vote and comment counts. Add body text, a post image or a subreddit icon if your story needs them.
Click + Add Comment for top-level comments and Add reply for nested ones. Set each comment's author, timestamp, votes and delay, and turn on a vote change or collapse where the twist lands.
Play the preview, adjust delays until the pacing feels right, then export as MP4, GIF, MOV or WebM. Or use Describe it, sign in, and type the thread you want.
Replies sit under their parent with thread lines on the left, so back-and-forth arguments read like a real comment section.
Each comment has its own delay, and the thread scrolls as new ones arrive, so you control every reveal.
Set a comment's vote state to upvoted, downvoted or none, or animate a change after it appears. Large counts display in short form, such as 1.2k.
Mark any comment as coming from the original poster to show the OP badge, and add an author flair such as "Bad UI Creator".
A comment can collapse a set time after it appears, hiding its replies behind a "more replies" link.
Switch between light and dark Reddit color schemes. A sound effect plays as each comment appears and can be turned off.
Present a post and reveal the top replies one at a time while you narrate, with the deciding comment saved for last.
Script a thread where the replies keep escalating, then end it with a collapse or a sudden wave of downvotes.
Show how a discussion about your project might look as a short clip for a newsletter, presentation or social post.
Open the Reddit template and fill in the post: subreddit, title, author and counts. Add comments and replies in the order they should appear, give each a delay, check the preview, and export it to pair with your narration.
Yes. Every comment and reply has a Delay (s) field. The post is visible from the start, and comments come in one by one in thread order while the view scrolls to keep the newest one visible.
Yes. Set the author, timestamp and vote count on the post and every comment, and choose upvoted, downvoted or no vote for each. Negative counts work too. Turn on Animate vote change to flip a vote mid-clip.
Yes. The thread starts in dark mode, and the Light Theme checkbox in Post Settings switches to the light scheme. You can also add a post image, a subreddit icon and avatars on individual comments.
You can open the template and start building a thread for free. Plans differ in what they include, so check the pricing page for the details of each one, including export options.
