Fake Copilot Chat Video Maker

This template recreates a conversation with the Copilot app on a phone screen and plays it back as a video. Your question is typed into the "Ask me anything..." bar with the keyboard up, then sent as a blue bubble on the right. While Copilot works, its progress steps appear one by one and are checked off, a Stop Responding button shows above the bar, and the reply is revealed from top to bottom inside a white card, with bold text, numbered lists, small citation badges and the sources under "Learn more".

The default clip opens on the conversation: the steps tick off, the answer streams into its card, the action row with its reply counter fades in, and the ⋯ menu opens at the end. The flow can also start on the home screen with its idea cards, and show the share sheet, the conversation-style picker or the camera.

Build it by hand in the manual editor, which works without an account, or use Describe it: write a sentence about the exchange, such as asking Copilot for weekend hikes, and the AI drafts the questions, steps, replies, and timing for you to adjust. Describe it requires signing in with Google or GitHub.

How it works

  1. 1

    Write the conversation

Add your questions and Copilot's replies in order. Blank lines separate paragraphs, **double asterisks** make text bold, lines starting with 1. become a numbered list, and [^1] places a citation badge.

  2. 2

    Add steps, sources and photos

Give a reply its progress steps (one per line), list the sources shown under "Learn more", and attach a photo to one of your messages.

  3. 3

    Set the timing

For your messages, choose the typing speed or let them appear at once. For replies, set how long the steps take, how fast the text is revealed, and whether the action row appears.

  4. 4

    Arrange screens and export

In Video flow, pick the home screen, the chat, the menu, the share sheet, the style picker and the camera, set how long each holds, turn touch indicators on or off, choose a light or dark theme, and export as MP4 or GIF.

Features

Progress steps

Lines such as "Searching for: easy hikes" appear one by one while Copilot thinks, each with a spinner that turns into a green check.

Replies in a card

Each reply is revealed from top to bottom inside a white card that grows with the text, and the chat scrolls so the newest line stays above the input bar.

Bold text and numbered lists

Double asterisks draw bold runs, and lines starting with 1. or 2. become a numbered list with a hanging indent.

Citations

[^1] in a reply draws a small numbered badge, and the sources you list show as numbered chips under "Learn more", above the action row and its reply counter.

Stop Responding button

A Stop Responding button fades in above the input bar while Copilot works and fades out when the reply is done.

Photo prompts

Attach a photo to one of your messages and it shows inside your bubble, under the text.

Every screen of the app

The home screen with its idea cards, the ⋯ menu popover, the share sheet, the conversation-style picker and the camera screen, all in one flow.

Frame and export settings

Export MP4 or GIF at 720p or Full HD from 15 to 30 fps, or 60 fps on the Creator plan, with or without the iPhone bezel, including a 1:1 square crop. The light theme follows the design, with a dark theme one setting away.

What people make with it

  • AI explainer and tips videos

Show a prompt and Copilot's answer building up step by step, with its sources, for a "how I use AI" short, a study plan or a travel tip.

  • Comedy skits

Script a very thorough answer to a silly question, with serious-looking search steps, and export a vertical MP4 for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.

  • Product demos and tutorials

Walk viewers through a sequence of prompts and replies without screen-recording a real account.

  • Fiction and storytelling

Tell part of a story through a character's chats with an assistant, with every line written by you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a fake Copilot chat video?

Open the Copilot template, write your messages and Copilot's replies, add steps and sources if you want them, set the typing, thinking, and reveal timing, arrange the screens in Video flow, then press Play to preview and export the clip as MP4 or GIF.

Does it use the real Copilot?

No. Every message, step, source and reply is text you write; nothing is sent to Microsoft or any AI model. Describe it uses MockClip's own AI to draft a script you can edit.

Are the sources real links?

No. The sources are labels you type, drawn as chips; nothing is looked up or linked. Use fictional or generic names in your clips.

Can I export a Copilot chat as a GIF?

Yes. Pick GIF Animation or MP4 Video in the export settings, then choose 720p or Full HD and a frame rate from 15 to 30 fps, or 60 fps on the Creator plan. A lower frame rate usually keeps a GIF file smaller.

Is the Copilot video maker free?

You can start for free, and the manual editor works without an account. Plans and what each one includes are listed on the pricing page. MockClip is not affiliated with Microsoft; use fictional content in your clips.
